When you visit Kia of Fargo, you'll notice all the cars in our showroom sparkle with a "new-car" shine, but unfortunately when you take your new Kia or used car off the lot, that shine can quickly fade. So how do you keep your new Kia in showroom shape?
First of all, keeping your Kia Soul or Forte Kouplooking its best is not necessarily about washing it every day. It's more important to clean your car well than to clean it often. Here's four tips to keeping your Kia looking great year round.
- Ditch the Dish Soap. Dish detergents can damage your car's finish. Using a car-specific soap will protect your car's clear coat while getting rid of stubborn grime.
- Wash the car with a large, natural sponge. Rags, t-shirts, and other cheap applicators do not work very well and can actually scratch your car's finish.
- Do not let the car air dry. Instead, dry the car by hand with a soft cloth, such as a terry towel. Allowing the car to dry on its own will certainly leave some unattractive watermarks.
- Wax. Sounds simple enough, a good wax job will help protect the hard work you've put into to making your new or used Kia shine. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines when applying any wax product.
Keep the above tips in mind, and you should have no
trouble keeping your Kia looking as great as when you first brought it home.
