Plan Your Holiday Road Trip With Ease

As we slowly approach the holidays, many people will be making travel plans, some of which will involve driving. With that being said, we here at Kia of Fargo have some suggestions for traveling safely this holiday season.

  • Be sure to bring along an emergency kit, which includes blankets, a flashlight, and a first-aid kit.
  • Make sure that your vehicle is ready for the road; this includes inspecting hoses, checking and filling fluids, and making sure that your tires are properly inflated.
  • Be sure to check traffic reports prior to getting on the road. Doing so may help you avoid congestion, which will allow you spend less time driving and more time with friends and family.
  • Last, but certainly not least, do not drink and drive.

The holiday season, which includes Thanksgiving, is statistically the most dangerous time to be on the road; in fact, 40% of traffic fatalities occur as a result of someone driving impaired during the holidays. So, avoid drinking and remain alert while traveling to your destination.
