We here at Kia of Fargo have known for a while that the Kia Sorrento needs a facelift. For the past few months, we saw glimpses of what we thought was a newly re-designed Kia. Kia has finally confirmed that the mysterious vehicle we've seen making laps around Nürburgring is indeed the new Sorrento.
Since we weren't certain that the Kia Sorrento was going to get a facelift for the 2014 model year, we kept it under wraps. And Kia hasn't officially announced anything to the American public yet. However, the 2014 Kia Sorrento was unveiled on Kia's European site, which makes it official. We suspect that the US site will have the same unveiling in the near future.
Now that the cat's out of the bag, you are probably wondering about the details of this unveiling. Well, drivers in the [Geo] area will look forward to noticeable exterior changes, including a reworked front-end grille, 19-inch alloy wheels, and striking LED headlamps... And that's just the exterior!
What about the interior? Kia hasn't revealed too many details yet but we know that it will include a new LCD instrument cluster. The center stack will be revamped with a seven-inch display and a new console featuring a straight-gate selector with a leather-booted lever on automatic transmission models. If you thought the Kia Sorento was luxurious before its facelift, you will be pleased with the feel of this new interior.
We do not have an availability date for this new
model, but Kia of Fargo, located at 3901 2nd Avenue, Fargo, ND 58103, promises to keep you updated. In the meantime, feel free to peruse our 2012 Kia Sorrento new inventory.
