Way back in October of last year, we here at Kia of Fargo heard a story that we couldn't quite believe. Our favorite automaker was looking for a way to raise money for the We Can Be Heroes campaign that provides aid and assistance to families suffering from drought in East Africa, and they were looking to utilize their new and used car models in the process. One of the higher-ups had the bright idea to team up with the folks at DC Entertainment, and just like that, our inner-children started bursting at the seams.
The idea was to create custom one-offs of vehicles on their lineup and model each one after a member of the Justice League. It wasn't long before they made good on their promise and began auctioning those beauties off for charity. And in case you're wondering, here's what made the stage:
- A Kia Forte Koup modeled after The Flash
- A Kia Optima modeled after Batman
- A Kia Optima Hybrid modeled after Superman
- A Kia Rio modeled after Aquaman
- A Kia Forte Sedan modeled after Cyborg
- And a Kia Soul modeled after Green Lantern
For those keeping track, you may have noticed the absence of a certain Amazonian princess on the list. Well now that the 2013 New York Auto Show has arrived, our favorite automaker has finally pulled back the curtain on Wonder Woman's very own 2013 Kia Sportage. Like the other vehicles, this one will also be auctioned off to support the We Can Be Heroes campaign, and we can't help but be envious of whoever gets to drive off in this crimson beauty.
Word has it that there's still one more of these Justice League Kia models to look forward to, so make sure to keep checking back on our blog for all the latest updates. And if comics aren't your thing, then feel free to test drive one of the many fabulous vehicles at our dealership here at 3901 2nd Avenue in Fargo, ND 58103. You'll still feel like a hero, if just for one day.
