It's been a good few months now since we here at Kia of Fargo told you folks about the 2013 Kia Sportage that was modeled after the likeness of the one and only Wonder Woman. It was a head-turner alright and we're still a little sore that it won't be joining the ranks of our new and used cars in the near future. Then again, we understand, it's for a good cause. But now that Comic-Con 2013 is here, the envy continues to grow.
See, all the way back in October of 2012, our favorite automaker joined forces with DC Entertainment to give us eight Kia models that would be customized after the Justice League. Since that time, we've been privy to seven of the said models, each of which took after a said member of DC's Super Friends. It wasn't until this past week that they pulled back the curtain on model No. 8 in San Diego and we couldn't be more excited about it.
The 2014 Kia Sorento in question features all seven Justice League members striking a pose on the sides and a "Justice League" banner tacked onto the front hood. Inside, you've also got a center console decorated with comic book strips and the emblems of each superhero embossed into the headrests.
Not only that, but starting now until July 27, all eight of the vehicles will be auctioned off to support Kia's "We Can Be Heroes" campaign to raise money and awareness for starving families in East Africa. It's a win-win if there ever was one.
So if you'd like to see own of these beauties in your garage, then you better fly out to San Diego and get to bidding. Or if you'd rather take a spin in something a little more conservative, our showroom awaits you at our dealership here in Fargo, ND. After all, if it works for the Justice League, you can bet it works for the human race.
